From opposing suburbs of our nation’s capital comes an angst-fueled dance party so sexy, so compelling… you’ll find yourself on your feet before you know what the fuck is happening! DMV KARS is the long-awaited new project from collaborators Kristina Buddenhagen a.k.a. KBudd (former The Büdds, E.D. Sedgwick, America Hearts, and Victor Victoria) and Carla Elliott a.k.a JosaFeen Wells (former E.D. Sedgwick, N’digo Rose and the Nekkid Understanding) that combines 80s synthwave, 90s house, and classic soul to bring you jamming sounds, bumping basslines, and relatable lyrical vulnerability. Their self-titled debut release was written and produced by the talented lady duo. KBudd's background in bass-fueled rock and pop and love of synthesizers coupled with JosaFeen's vast experience singing everything from gospel to go-go has produced a refreshing, accessible, and undeniably danceable collection of jams that are much needed to help process the hellscape of day to day life in our modern political climate. DMV KARS influences include Madonna, Mary J Blige, Chaka Khan, Annie Lennox, and The Go-Go’s, among many others. It’s a damn blessing these two came together to make original music.
